Nomad Magazine
Idea
Nomad Magazine was a student project. The project assignment was to create a magazine cover for the topic of “Small is Beautiful.” As a huge travel enthusiast myself, I focused my attention on a magazine that showcased smaller more intimate travel experiences.
Process
Using my own travel experiences I researched unusual places and unique travel opportunities. Keeping in mind that small is beautiful the magazine design reflected travellers who did not want to prebook everything or go on group tours or be limited by staying in big cities. These were the Nomads – the restless seeker type of traveler.
Result
The cover art was critical to conveying both the project topic and the theme of the magazine. The images needed to convey the small unique places which would encourage Nomad travellers to buy their first copy and then become a regular subscriber.
